Smoking and Infertility: How the Two Are Related?



Smoking is one of the risk factors of infertility. Below, we have discussed how smoking can affect one’s fertility: Smoking can harm the health of a woman’s ovary in three ways. Smoking can inhibit the functioning of eggs produced by the ovary and increase one’s chance of encountering early menopause. When ovaries get exposed to the toxins present in cigarette smoke, they fail to produce the required amount of estrogen, which results in disruption in the woman’s reproductive function and may also induce infertility.
